Masses have been temporarily suspended
In light of recent events, the bishops have taken the difficult decision to suspend the public celebration of Mass for the time being from Thursday the 19th of March onwards.
The priests will continue to celebrate Mass in private twice a day, and will continue to pray for those who are suffering from COVID-19 and their families. Parishioners should not attend.
A number of parishes within the diocese will live stream Masses online every day for you to watch. If you are unable to watch live, you will be able to watch the recording later in the day. The links to these Masses can be found here.
The Scottish Catholic Liturgy Commission has also produced a resource for parishioners to use at home for when Holy Mass cannot be celebrated publicly, which can be found here. If you know anyone who does not have access to the internet, you may wish to print it out and post it to them.
The situation is still developing and we will provide you with more information as soon as we can.
